We know it isn’t always possible for school districts to maintain their own staff throughout the school year. Bright Start Therapies, Inc. has been partnering with local school districts since 2003, to help provide services for Speech and Occupational therapy. From short-term to long-term contracts, from just a few students to a full caseload, Bright Start Therapies is here to fulfill any needs your school may have. Our therapists work closely with school districts (public, non-public, & private) and the entire educational team. We handle everything from initial and triennial evaluations, preparing and attending independent educational plans (IEPs), providing direct therapy or tele-therapy, push-in, and consultation and services. In each area of the process, we become part of your school team!
Non-Public Agency
Since 2003, Bright Start Therapies, Inc. has serviced public, non-public schools and private schools in the greater Sacramento area from preschool through high school as an approved Non-Public Agency (NPA) that has certification from the California Department of Education.
Collaboration is key!
All our therapists are licensed in the state of CA and have had specialized training in a variety of techniques and disorders that are beneficial in the school setting. We know that collaboration is key and work together with the entire IEP team to ensure continuity of services to provide the best support possible for the children served. We also provide relief to your therapist by partnering for a team approach—for example, our providers can share a caseload, handle assessments, provide off-site services, provide screenings, meet with other professionals providing services or do whatever it takes to lighten the load!
Case Management
We have therapists available for small to large contracts, short-term to long-term. We are always happy to discuss your school's needs. We make the process easy and straight forward to get your school the help they need in a timely manner. Supplement your existing onsite staff to improve your clinician morale and retention by reducing heavy caseloads. Our clinicians can perform classroom observations and consultations, and attend parent and staff meetings to extend your team’s capacity.
Tele-Therapy Works
For many school districts, the on-going use of remote services can help meet every student where they are. Bright Start Therapies can provide your district with the services you need for students who may be in a need of a therapist, distant learning, or may be in remote areas. Through a secure platform, experienced therapists work with children via an internet connection, web portal, and two-way live video. Through the platform, the child can interact with the therapist just as he/she would if it was an in-person session.
